Wait, Trust and Lean - Deborah D.

WAIT! TRUST! & LEAN!

Mabel was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adams in her prime and at the Age of 30. She's hardworking, respectful and a renowned journalist well-known for transparency at its peak that the whole wide world always craves to hear because whatever would come from her would be nothing but the whole truth. She's beautiful, gorgeous and industrious, her beauty can be described as that of a princess in a royal robe, but with all of these, she was still single.

Most times, when Mabel returned from work all she resulted into was sobbing, and if her parent would ask her why – she would say she's thirty good years old and single with a bang on her table. She'll explain how her colleagues backbite and do all sort because she isn't married and sometimes tell those that tell it to her face that she's waiting on God cause God's time is always the best and they'll all burst into a mockery laughter while she walks away. All this she explains with her eyes full of tears, her mother does well to hug her and give her a lovely encouraging word that will encourage and help her to keep believing her maker for the best husband God will offer her.

Days, weeks and months rollover and yet, Mabel was still single and looking up to God. Mabel is no longer the crying tom she used to be but has resulted to taking her marital status as a fate which needs faith. She turned deaf ears to appalling words from her colleagues and friends, and intentional forget about her age. She rather resulted to clinging and trusting God for the best at his time. Although, it wasn't easy but she got a mind made up with no turning back.

Sooner or later, Mabel got a proposal from Wilson and she got a confirmation from God before she said yes to the proposal. She got married happily and forget about the waiting room she has been for years.

We all want good things to happen, but we get easily worried and tempted to ask, " When, God when?" We need to have faith in silence and trusting God instead of focusing on the "When's question. For a farmer to wait all summer for his harvest because he has done his work of sowing the seed and watering the plants. We should also be patient while waiting on the Lord. Those who wait, trust and lean on God can go about their assigned tasks, with confident that God will do it. Waiting doesn't only applicable to marriage, it can be promotion, admission, fruit of the womb and so on. Psalms 27:14 says "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD".

If your mind feels worn out all the time, you're not trusting God.

ARE YOU LIKE MABEL?

Keep calm!

DISCOURAGED?

Don't be!

AT THE END OF IT ALL?

You'll definitely Laugh and be happy.
